Quick Start

Quick: Select a preset configuration and press 'Start'. Explore by selecting other preset configurations.

Custom: To build a custom configuration select a preset configuration that approximates your idea - 'Earth' is a good starting place. Gear operations:

• Select: Click on gears with your mouse. Active gear is painted in turquoise.
• Add: Select the inner most gear and click the 'Add' button. Gears can only be added to the inner-most gear.
• Delete: Select the gear you want to delete and click the 'Delete' button.
• Pen Color: Pens are located within gear rings and appear as dots. Click on pen's dot to change its color. Change the number of pens with 'Pen Count' (see Reference).

Reference

Outer Radius: Outer radius of the selected gear.

Inner Radius: Inner radius of the selected gear.

Rotation/Second: How quickly the selected gear rotates in degrees per second.

Rotation Slip: Allows distance traveled in relation to rotation of the selected gear to be altered.

Pen Count: Number of pens within the selected gear.

Pen Stroke: Width of all of the pens within the selected gear.

Add Gear: Adds a child gear to the selected gear. Disabled if selected gear already has a child.

Delete Gear: Deletes the selected gear.

Start: Toggles drawing and rotation state.

Clear: Clears the canvas.

Reset: Clears canvas and sets environment to currently selected configuration.
